What are the responsibilities and job description for the Night Auditor position at GF Hotels & Resorts USA?

The Night Auditor performs all Guest Service Agent duties on the third shift (11:00PM - 7:30AM) including check-in/check-out, guest accounting, guest reception, etc.; operates the PBX and mans the radio base, balances Front Office and Food & Beverage activity for the day; and prepares daily reports for this activity. (11pm-7am) Sunday and Monday nights.
Review house status with the second shift Front Desk Manager/Supervisor in preparation for the third shift check-in activity. Post charges to guest accounts as needed.Reconciles/balances all departments to final register reading by re-taping all department vouchers from the start of the day's business. All taped should be labeled and dated and a complete report detailing any adjustments for errors (with full explanation) should be included. Compiles room revenue report detailing each room, rate charged, guest name and company affiliation, length of stay, and other information requested. Process room, tax, movie charges and phone charges for the day. Total room revenue should balance to room revenue report. Prepares tapes of individual folios in the guest and city ledger and reconciles the final balance. Reconciles/balances actual advance deposits received during the day to the advance deposit folios. Shut down Food and Beverage computer system (Micros) for the day and restart the following day. Complete and balance restaurant reports from Micros financial report and record Food & Beverage totals. Performs all Front Desk/PBX duties during shift including the switchboard, check-ins, check outs, guest messages and requests, reservations, etc. Notifies the General Manager of any unusual incidents or emergencies, which occurred during the shift.
