We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Technician to join our team in the restoration industry. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and a strong background in various restoration processes, including water damage restoration, fire restoration, mold remediation, and asbestos abatement. This role requires proficiency with hand tools and power tools to effectively restore properties to their original condition.
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the restoration industry.
- Experience in mold remediation, carpet cleaning, asbestos abatement, fire restoration, and water damage restoration is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify areas requiring restoration or repair.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
- A commitment to safety practices and procedures in all aspects of work.
A mitigation or restoration technician's job is to respond to and repair properties damaged by fire, water, smoke, mold, or other factors.Their responsibilities include:
Preparation/organizing mitigation tasks: Deliver, install, pickup and maintain equipment.
Assessing damage: Inspecting and evaluating the damage, and documenting it with photos or videos
Removing water: Extracting water, drying the property, and removing water-damaged contents
Remediating mold: Removing mold from surfaces
Cleaning: Cleaning up bodily fluids, soot, and odors
Demolition: Demolishing affected building materials or content.
Board up: Boarding up windows
Installing: Installing framing or subfloors if needed
Performing flood cuts: Performing flood cuts on drywall or removing sheetrock
Containing: Containing exposed areas with plastic and sealing off needed areas
