Analytical Scientist

6 Month W2 Contract
Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated contractor to join our Analytical Development team for a 6-month contract. This role requires daily lab work to support the development of small molecule and oligonucleotide drug substances and products by advancing innovative analytical technologies and establishing control strategies. Responsibilities include chromatographic method development using Analytical Quality by Design (AQbD) principles and predictive models. Candidates should have a strong background in organic and analytical chemistry and hands-on experience in a laboratory setting.
Responsibilities:
- Design, execute, and document experiments under the guidance of the manager.
- Develop and optimize analytical methods using HPLC/UPLC systems.
- Conduct AQbD experiments and apply predictive modeling for chromatographic separation.
- Analyze samples using HPLC/UPLC with UV or MS detection.
- Interpret data, write technical reports, and establish protocols.
- Utilize chromatography software such as Empower (Waters) and ChemStation (Agilent).
- Participate in meetings and seminars on small molecule and oligonucleotide development.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in basic lab techniques (pipetting, solution preparation, centrifugation).
- Hands-on experience with HPLC/UHPLC systems and associated software.
- Understanding of liquid chromatography separation principles.
- Knowledge of LCMS preferred.
- Experience in pharmaceutical analytical method development preferred.
- Strong documentation, data analysis, and reporting skills.
- Scientific curiosity, adaptability, and strong communication skills.
Education:
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related field.
