Senior Electro Mechanical Design Engineer
9 Month W2 Contract
Onsite in Newton, MA
We are seeking a Senior Electro Mechanical Design Engineer to join our R&D team on a 9 month W2 contract and contribute to the development of our next-generation robotic platform, shaping the future of healthcare. This role involves designing, testing, and verifying complex electromechanical assemblies within a regulated medical device environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design of complex DV fixtures from concept to release
- Support product-level design and identify improvements in DV fixtures
- Develop firmware/software requirements for fixtures
- Author technical documentation and verification test plans
- Perform fixture qualifications and process validation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors for procurement
Qualifications:
- 8 years of experience in electromechanical system R&D
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Robotics Engineering
- Experience in regulated industries (medical device, aerospace)
- Hands-on experience in the design, assembly, and testing of electro-mechanical systems
- Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks preferred), PLM software, and GD&T standards
- Experience with DFM/A, Six Sigma, and statistical analysis (Minitab a plus)
- Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
