Job Summary:
The Manager - Publications is responsible for managing the development and execution of publication plans for assigned therapeutic areas. This role ensures compliance, tracks project progress, and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality publications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute publication plans in line with company strategies.
- Manage publication projects, including working with authors, vendors, and agencies.
- Track, update, and report publication activities using internal systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry guidelines and company policies.
- Coordinate author engagements and prepare scientific manuscripts, abstracts, and presentations.
- Manage budgets and vendor deliverables for assigned therapeutic areas.
Qualifications:
- Education: MS, MD, PhD, or PharmD in a Life Science field.
- Experience: 2 years in pharma or medical communications (for PhD, MD, or PharmD), 4 years for those with an MS.
- Experience in scientific publication preparation.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and drug development processes.
- Proficiency in publication management software (e.g., Datavision).
- Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills.
Other Details:
- Travel: 10-20% overnight travel required.
- CMPP certification is preferred but not required.
- Background in diabetes, obesity, or rare diseases is a plus.
