General Laborer

GFT Ready Mix Concrete is a family-run business, with a team-oriented culture and atmosphere. We are seeking a Laborer who is responsible for general labor around our facility, including but not limited to our offices, shop, batch plant, and warehouse.

Location: 100% on-site, Phoenix 85043

Schedule: M-F 7-4

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
• Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds occasionally
• Must be willing and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Job Responsibilities

• Operate water truck
• Abide and champion all safety requirements, including but not limited to wearing proper PPE and following safety protocols
• Coordinate with management and/or supervisor for the purpose of completing projects and work
• Performing manual labor
• Help clean and maintain our facilities
• Perform other duties as assigned

Working Conditions

• Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors
• Must wear protective equipment while at the location

Physical Requirements

• Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
• Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds or force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment
• Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to, pushing, turning, and/or pulling of controls
