GFT Ready Mix is a rapidly growing, family-run business founded in 1999, built on a team-oriented culture and supportive atmosphere. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive part-time HR Assistant to support our Human Resources department. The ideal candidate will assist in various HR functions, including recruitment, driver qualification (DQ) files, and administrative tasks, contributing to a positive workplace environment.

Requirements
- At least 6 months experience with Driver Qualification (DQ) File administration/management required.
- Associates degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in an HR role or administrative support is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
Job Duties:
- Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Support onboarding processes for new hires, including orientation and training coordination.
- Oversee DQ files management by gathering, maintaining, organizing and documenting records required by FMCSA to ensure commercial drivers meet all regulatory standards for safety, licensing and medical fitness.
- Assist in organizing employee engagement activities and events.
- Help with payroll processing and benefits administration.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and handle HR documentation accurately.
