Parts Runner

Description

Parts Runners are responsible for ensuring that all parts and materials are delivered to appropriate locations in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have a clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record), excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50-75 pounds regularly
• Prior experience as a courier, delivery driver or similar role preferred
• Strong customer service skills
• Familiarity with route planning and delivery logistics
  
  

Job Responsibilities

• Load and unload parts and equipment
• Deliver parts and materials to appropriate plant locations and/or job sites
• Ability to read maps and/or follow written directions or GPS
• Organize parts and equipment and securely tie-down for safe transportation
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries
• Ensure that all parts and materials are delivered in a timely manner
• Assist with inventory management as needed
• Communicate with team members to ensure that all parts and materials are delivered to the correction location
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries
• Clean and maintain shop and ground when needed
• Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management
  
  

Working Conditions

• Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors
• Must wear protective equipment while at the location
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
• Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds or force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment
• Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to, pushing, turning, and/or pulling of controls
