Logistics - Shipping and Receiving @ $22.00/hour MATALCO (Kentucky) - We are North America's largest independent aluminum billet and slab provider to the automotive industry, using recycled aluminum and state-of-the art technology in our manufacturing processes. Because our logistics area is super busy, we need two additional employees to join the team. In this role you will safely operate mobile equipment to receive and unload raw materials as well as load outgoing materials being shipped to our customers. Apply today! Key Responsibilities Unload raw materials from all incoming trucks, receive paperwork, and verify correct aluminum alloy is received. Upgrade or downgrade aluminum received based upon alloy composition. Inspect, analyze, and verify all incoming raw materials, storing in appropriate locations using various types of mobile equipment. Identify and report deviations, discrepancies, or non-conforming materials so that corrections or adjustments to pricing and/or purchase orders can be made by our Purchasing Team. Properly and accurately load outbound trailers with correct products. Comply with all safety rules, company training, practices, and procedures, modeling safe work practices. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license At least one year light industrial or warehousing experience in a fast-paced environment At least one year experience operating forklifts, skid loader, pay loader, semi tractor Basic math and data entry skills Communication skills and attention to detail Ability to identify various types and grades of aluminum alloys and scrap Reliable and dependable attendance and work history Ability to work Monday-Friday days with overtime other days and times as needed Environment and Physical Demands Year-round exposure to outside conditions, including inclement weather Exposure to plant operations, including loud noise, dust, and fumes Frequent lifting up to fifty pounds High frequency of mobile equipment usage Regularly standing, walking, ascending/descending, talking, and hearing Frequent bending, pushing, pulling, and climbing over four feet Specific vision abilities that include close up, distance, color, depth, periphery Hand, finger, and feet usage to operate equipment
