JOB FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Fabrication job family ensures an environment of continuous improvement exists in the organizations production processes, operating procedures, and workflows in order to achieve internal and external customer satisfaction. General areas of responsibility include ensuring smooth production flow and perform product inspections. The clerk will be responsible for receiving and distributing quality materials while maintaining accurate inventories.
POSITION PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for receiving of raw materials and various products, processing material receipts, and facilitating material movement between processes and facilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
- Perform receiving functions in compliance with all applicable receiving, inventory control, and quality procedures.
- Organizing, transferring, and storing product in the appropriate locations.
- Inspect incoming materials to ensure they’re in alignment with quality standards.
- Check, verifies, and audits material through weekly audits to include a written record of said audits.
- Pulls and issues material when needed and processes paperwork for transaction completeness.
- Record the proper information on required process paperwork, charts, check lists, or other control sheets.
- Report damages or shortages to appropriate personnel.
- Operate forklift and side loader to move material.
- Maintains a professional demeanor when interacting with internal and external customers and represents the organization in a positive manner.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
- Performs all work in accordance with established safety standards and adheres to all safety policies, rules, regulations, and procedures.
- Performing other duties or functions as requested by management.
JOB-SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities)
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong sense of time organization and urgency
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team member
- Experience in shipping/receiving preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with problem solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and follows instructions.
- Knowledge of products and services of the company.
- Must be organized and be able to multi-task in a professional and efficient manner.
- Basic Math Skills and understanding of blueprints is required.
- Basic Knowledge in Microsoft Suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.25 - $19.50 per hour
