Job Summary
The Assistant Property Manager plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our property management team. This position involves leasing, marketing, assisting with tenant relations, property maintenance, and administrative tasks to ensure the property runs smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, a keen eye for detail, and a solid understanding of property management practices.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing tenant relations by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records through data entry and file management to ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations.
- Utilize property management software such as Yardi and CMMS for tracking maintenance requests and tenant information.
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and maintenance needs.
- Support leasing efforts by engaging in upselling strategies to attract potential tenants.
- Handle phone etiquette professionally while managing incoming calls related to tenant inquiries or maintenance requests.
- Collaborate with the property manager on marketing initiatives to enhance occupancy rates.
- Ensure adherence to Section 8 guidelines when processing applications and managing tenant files.
Requirements
- Proven experience in customer service, preferably within the property management or real estate industry.
- Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations and Section 8 processes is highly desirable.
- Proficient in data entry with strong organizational skills for effective file management.
- Experience using Yardi or similar property management software is a plus.
- Strong sales skills with the ability to engage in upselling techniques effectively.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
