Who are we looking for?
GHD has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our growing Mid-Continent team based out of our Houston, TX & Baton Rouge, LA offices! Working with our Engineering Design Organization (EDO) you'll participate in the planning, design and construction engineering of various types of facilities. You'll also assist in the development of master plans, technical reports, design drawings, specifications, cost estimates and preparation of permit submittals.
The primary focus is on Energy projects, such as refining, chemicals, terminals, and underground storage. This position will also support environmental and remediation, as well as civil aspects of municipal, state, and federal projects. The successful candidate will have demonstrated competence in :
- Working in a multi-discipline environment from Concept stage to Issued for Construction and As-Built
- Survey and Site Control
- Site Grading and Drainage
- Flood Mitigation
- Facility roads and industrial rail
- Large earthworks
- HDPE liner systems, such as for landfills and reservoirs
- Retaining walls and caissons for in-ground structures
- Deep foundation design
