JOB SUMMARY
GCC seeks to add a Union Paving Foreman to our team of skilled and dedicated staff. The Paving Foreman plans, coordinates, and manages onsite paving crew (asphalt / blacktop) to meet the daily and weekly goals for maximum productivity while maintaining budgetary constraints. Solid communication and interpersonal skills, plus demonstrated ability to manage a team of varied disciplines. Can help with entry into union.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Oversee the progress of paving / road construction sites.
- The intermediary between workers and supervisors.
- Scheduling and planning the paving work for the day.
- Assigning tasks to field employees.
- Utilizing the correct machinery at the job site
- Making sure the paving project is being completed in a timely matter.
- Overseeing and implementing health and safety procedures on the job.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE
3-5 years of experience as a Paving Foreman. Knowledge of job sites, crews, heavy civil construction, and paving projects.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
