The Senior Finance Manager - Supply Chain Finance serves as a strategic business partner to Ghirardelli’s Procurement, Supply Chain and Operations departments, with primary responsibility for leading the Close processes for Supply Chain Finance and supporting budget and forecast activities. This role has ownership of Cost of Goods, manufacturing variance, inventory analysis, and data management with the ability to provide relevant visibility and strategic financial insight.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The position requires the ability to be innovative and able to develop new processes, along with managing change while being a respected business partner. Responsibilities include:
- Lead the close process for Supply Chain Finance developing timelines and deliverables to meet corporate requirements
- Support the budget and forecast processes ensuring analysis of manufacturing variances identified during close are included in each new submission
- Support the standard cost data process for new products, as well as annual standard cost updates and inventory valuation.
- As a strategic business partner to Operations and Procurement, deliver valuable insights and sound decision support for division leadership teams and corporate finance to enable accurate monthly forecasts. With the ability to highlight risks and opportunities and play an active part in helping to solve problems and close gaps.
- Guide the Development of daily, weekly and monthly reporting packages with timely and easy to understand summaries of financial results.
- Represent Finance on various cross-functional project teams.
- Work with the Engineering team to develop analysis for capital investment request.
- Ad Hoc – Decision Support work for Operations, Procurement and Supply Chain teams.
- Serve as a champion for cost management and waste reduction opportunities by creating relevant visibility and measurement that inspires action.
- Deliver insightful reporting, analysis and KPIs.
- Perform (ROI) analysis- highlighting opportunities to optimize tactics, depth, and the effectiveness of planning and execution.
- Influence Operations and Finance leadership in the areas of business case analysis
- Deliver valuable insights and input to Corporate Budgeting and Forecasting cycles. With the ability to highlight opportunities for forecast accuracy improvement to result in accurate financial forecasts and managing within budgets.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
- Exposure to CPG or Retail industries preferred
- Understanding of a full P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement
- Experience with SAP (or similar ERP) and BI tools
- Demonstrated experience building working models and business management tools using MS Office suite or other software, to drive decisions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to present to cross-functional partners, collaboratively solve problems, and to influence senior management
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in lean manufacturing preferred

Salary: $144773 to $188215 / year
