As a licensed expert in Property & Casualty and Life, Accident, and Health insurance, you will play a key role in acquiring and managing home, auto, and life insurance policies, identifying cross-selling opportunities, delivering outstanding customer service, ensuring client retention, and achieving ambitious profitability targets.
Core Job Duties include (but are not limited to)
- Insurance Expertise: Maintain active licenses in Property & Casualty, Life, Accident, and Health insurance and stay current with industry regulations and product offerings. Must be obtained prior to hiring and will be reimbursed by the agency upon hire.
- New Business Acquisition: Proactively solicit and write new business within your specialized department, demonstrating a strong understanding of client needs and industry trends.
- Risk Assessment: Collaborate with the agent and/or operations manager to assess clients' insurance needs accurately, ensuring they receive the appropriate coverage. (when applicable)
- Underwriting and Rating: Conduct field underwriting and rating assessments for new accounts, providing precise risk evaluations.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on new insurance products and industry initiatives, actively seeking opportunities for personal and professional development.
- Client Engagement: Actively engage clients and prospects by soliciting expiration dates and building strong agency relationships to enhance client retention.
- Production Goals: Consistently meet monthly production requirements and goals assigned by the agent or agency manager. Minimum 15k policy premium totals per month. NOTE: Premium totals may fluctuate depending on the type of commercial client.
- CRM Reporting: Ensure all customer and lead interactions are thoroughly documented in the CRM system for up-to-date access by all team members.
- Adaptability: Although rare, you may be asked to perform other duties as assigned, to support the agency's diverse needs.

Physical Environment
This role primarily operates in a climate-controlled office environment, with occasional off-site client visits as needed. Use of your own transportation when off-site is required.
Preferred Skills and Abilities
- Education: A four-year college degree is preferred or equivalent sales experience.
- Experience: Previous customer service experience is required, ideally in the insurance industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in basic PC skills and mathematics, along with strong analytical capabilities.
- Conflict Resolution: Possesses excellent conflict resolution skills to address client concerns effectively.
- Communication Skills: Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with clients and colleagues.
