Cost Accountant - Manufacturing

GHJ Search and Staffing has partnered with a manufacturing company to identify aCost Accountantto join their team. This individual will be part of a fast-moving, manufacturing environment and will partner with operations, finance, accounting and senior management.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain standard costs.
• Manage monthly closing tasks, including preparing manufacturing variances and providing supporting analysis.
• Analyze variances proactively, and communicate issues and opportunities to operations management.
• Develop metrics and tracking systems to monitor key cost drivers.
• Contribute to profitability analysis for quoting and costing purposes.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing to perform physical inventory audits at quarter-end and year-end.
• Communicate and educate both internal and external stakeholders on cost-related data.
• Oversee daily financial and data analysis for cost and manufacturing operations, collaborating with Manufacturing and Supply Chain to improve production and purchasing efficiencies.
• Prepare variance analysis reports for inventory, manufacturing costs, and standard cost discrepancies.
• Record, track, report, and communicate functional and business performance results.
• Assist the Controller with monthly financial entries and bank reconciliations
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of work experience as a cost accountant or related role
  
  
  

$60,000 - $80,000 a year
