Position Summary
We are seeking a Practice Director to lead and grow our San Jose office. This leadership role is responsible for driving business development, managing client relationships, and overseeing the full-cycle recruitment process. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong track record in executive search, staffing, or professional services and a deep understanding of the accounting and finance industry.
\n- Business Development & Growth
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to expand GHJ Search & Staffing’s presence in San Jose and the Bay Area.
- Build and maintain relationships with hiring managers, CFOs, and executives in accounting & finance.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.
- Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and mentor a team of recruiters and business development professionals.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on client service, collaboration, and results.
- Provide strategic direction and support to ensure team success.
- Client & Candidate Engagement
- Manage the full recruitment life cycle, from sourcing and screening to placement and follow-up.
- Ensure exceptional client service by understanding hiring needs and delivering high-quality candidates.
- Stay updated on industry trends and provide market insights to clients and candidates.
- Operational Excellence
- Oversee financial performance, KPIs, and operational efficiencies for the San Jose office.
- Collaborate with GHJ leadership to align recruitment strategies with overall business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with industry best practices and company policies.
- 7 years of experience in executive search, staffing, or professional services.
- Strong background in accounting, finance, or recruiting for financial roles.
- Proven ability to develop new business and manage client relationships at the executive level.
- Leadership experience, with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
- Deep knowledge of the San Jose/Bay Area market and hiring trends.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
