We are seeking a Licensed Social Worker to work with a community organization in Hyattsville, MD.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify trauma-related symptoms and mental health needs.
- Work with families, staff, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive support.
- Work with Case Managers to advocate for clients' needs within healthcare, education, or social service systems.
- Educate clients and families about trauma, its effects, and coping strategies.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records of all client interactions and treatment plans.
- Adhere to legal, ethical, and organizational standards, including HIPAA compliance.
Schedule Details:
- Monday-W: 11am-7pm
- Thursday: 10am-6pm
- Saturday: 10a-1p preferred
- Hybrid Schedule is considered (split time between the clinic and home)
Requirements:
- Licensed in the state of MD (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPC, PsyD)
- 2 years of experience with trauma survivors of all ages
- Specialized training in trauma-focused therapies (e.g., EMDR, TF-CBT, or somatic therapies)
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and cultural competency
