GHSP, based in West Michigan, is a leading global supplier of mechanical and electromechanical systems to the automotive, transportation, and appliance industry. GHSP is currently hiring a Shipping & Receiving Specialist to join our Materials team in Grand Haven.
What You'll Do
Coordinates discrepant deliveries or P. O's with the Accounting and Purchasing departments. Ensures all deliveries and P.O.'s comply to orders. Works with Accounting and/or purchasing to resolve any discrepancies. Contacts suppliers when their paperwork is incorrect, or appropriate buyer when supplier is non-compliant.
Enters Data. Verifies and receives ASNs (Advanced Shipping Notice) in MFG pro. Issues PTRs and File Claims with appropriate suppliers/carriers as needed. Receives accounting invoices as stated in SIMS.
Processes all incoming parcel/special shipment packages. Alerts intended recipient via e-mail.
Processes incoming materials. Prints and verifies supplier ASN. Enters packing slips through the receiving process in MFG pro. Creates PTRs when necessary. Files all paperwork accordingly. Checks daily on all incoming receipts to packing slips for errors.
Updates containers systems. Updates the returnable container, Matrix. Audits in house container inventory. Updates customer websites as needed. Documents the use of expendable containers for reimbursement purposes.
