GI Alliance is seeking an experienced Director of HR.
Duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Position purpose
The Regional Director, Human Resources is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the Human Resources function within the assigned region.
This role will support Northeast region (currently: NY, CT, MA, RI, VA). Ideal candidates should be located in the Northeast or Tri State Area
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:

- Act as a trusted advisor and partner to Practice leaders, providing advice, guidance, and support on all HR matters, including employee relations, talent management, performance management, and compensation.
- Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including employees, managers, and external partners.
- Along with Operations, assists in identifying staffing and recruiting needs; collaborates with Talent Acquisition to ensure regional goals for hiring and talent management are being met.
- Provide supervision, leadership, coaching, and development to a team of Human Resource professionals to ensure the effective delivery of HR services across the region.
- Routinely reviews and makes recommendations to senior leadership for improvement of the Practice’s policies, procedures and practices on personnel matters.
- Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment law and ensures Practice’s compliance with federal and state legislation.
- Collaborates with other HR leaders in the development, coordinator and implementation of policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the Practices Human Resource compliance and strategy needs.
- Works closely with Operational Leadership across the region to support business initiatives that may affect staff.
- Assists senior leadership in the annual review, preparation and administration of annual reviews, pay increases and bonuses.
- Consults with legal counsel as appropriate, on personnel matters.
- Partners directly with supervisors and managers to support them in effectively managing personnel responsibilities.
- Recommends, evaluates and participates in staff development for the Practice, including New Hire Orientation, continuing education and training.
- Responsible for approving time off requests and bi-weekly payroll for the HR Department.
- Travels to Practice locations in the assigned region as needed.
- Participates on committees and special projects and seeks additional responsibilities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent or six to 10 years’ related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s Degree is preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in HR is required.
Additional Qualifications: Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification preferred.

Equipment Operated: This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment.
