Austin Gastroenterology is seeking an experienced Provider Liaison.
Duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Position purpose
Responsible for outreach efforts and building trusted professional relationships with new and existing primary care and internal medicine physicians, through the implementation of an established business marketing plan. All efforts are expected to manage and grow referrals from key physicians and physician organizations, resulting in an increase of patient volumes in the region. The primary purpose of the role will be to develop and maintain solid relationships between TDDC and the physician community in the region. The direct efforts of our Provider Liaison Team (PLT) members will ease the transition of care process from primary care to specialist, improving the patient experience and overall health outcomes.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:
Facilitate good communication with referring physicians regarding patient follow-up.
Schedule regular visits to physician offices to establish and maintain successful relationships, uncover issues, and implement solutions approved by TDDC.
Document all communications in the assigned customer relationship management tool.
Assist in developing, implementing and continually assessing the TDDC marketing plan for the North Texas region, providing feedback to management.
Respond to issues raised, both externally and internally, in a timely and effective manner.
Escalate concerns and issues to the Physician Relations Director, as appropriate.
Coordinate efforts with Marketing Division to ensure consistent use of TDDC branding,
reputation, and image in the territory.
Recommend marketing strategies, including sponsorships and tradeshows, to increase
TDDC presence in the North Texas region that will drive increases in patient volume.
Plan and complete onsite visits with providers and their office staffs, maintaining a set
minimum number of weekly visits, documenting each encounter in the CRM.
Maintain a regular and significant call and routing schedule of selected primary care and
internal medicine practices within a defined area of North Texas.
Gather relevant information from primary care physicians and their office support teams.
Maintain positive relationships with TDDC physicians and staff, at all sites of care; our
clinics, affiliated-hospitals, and ASCs.
Display effective communication with all providers, staff, and leadership.
Represent TDDC in a professional manner.
Other duties as assigned.
