GI Alliance is seeking an experienced Research Finance Assistant .
Duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Position purpose
The Finance Assistant is a specialized research professional working with and under the direction of the Finance Manager.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
- Create and distribute research study invoices
- Post sponsor study payments in company clinical trial management system
- Make appropriate changes to financial institution information (e.g. updating clinical trial management system, third party vendor costs)
- Assures all faxes, e-mails, and claim forms are filed away by the end of the day
- Perform internal finance QC within company clinical trial management system
- Assist finance coordinator and finance director on projects as necessary
- Extensive interaction with internal and external sources (e.g. clinical research coordinators, third party vendors and contract research organizations)
- Reconcile research subject stipend cards
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
- Clinical Research experience preferred
- Accounts receivable, billing and collections experience preferred
Performance Requirements
- Knowledge of financial terms and principles.
- Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Knowledge of purchasing, budgeting, and inventory control.
- Skill in taking and transcribing dictation and operating office equipment.
- Skill in answering the phone and responding to questions.
- Skill in time management, prioritization, and multitasking.
- Skill in writing and communicating effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure, communicate and present information.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply clinic policies and procedures.
- Ability to identify problems, recommend solutions, organize and analyze information.
- Ability to multi-task, establish priorities, and coordinate work activities.
- Ability to competently use Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and appropriate practice management software.
