GiaCare Inc. is accepting applications for experienced, civilian Certified Medical Assistants (CMA) to work at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, in support of Ft. Bliss Army Base (El Paso, Texas).
Qualifications :
De gree / Ed ucation : Certificate. Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
Certifications : Current certification as a Medical Assistant, and Basic Life Support (BLS).
Experience : One (1) year of experience as a Medical Assistant, after graduation.
Duties :
- Prepare examination rooms prior to patient’s arrival.
- Assist with patient check-ins, admissions, discharges, transfers, and appointment scheduling as directed.
- Check patient’s vital signs, to include temperature, respiration, pulse, weight, blood pressure, and pulse oximeter reading.
- Obtain and document patient’s current medical history, drug histo ry, chief complaints, allergies, and vital signs on the correct form.
- Administer medications, including injections after completing appropriate training and validation.
