Key Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on a wide range of tax-related matters, including income, gift and estate tax issues.
- Assist clients with tax planning and compliance, including structuring transactions to minimize tax liabilities.
- Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice on complex tax issues.
- Draft legal documents such as entity formation, reorganization, purchase and sale documents, estate planning documents including trusts.
- Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas to provide comprehensive legal services.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
- Contribute to the firm's growth by building and maintaining client relationships and connections with CPAs, insurance and investment professionals serving our clients.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and an LL.M. in Taxation (preferred).
- Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
- 4-5 years of experience in tax law, within a law or accounting firm setting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
