  • Job Title: Construction Sales & Project CoordinatorJob Overview:

The Construction Sales & Project Coordinator will be responsible for selling, managing the coordination, budgeting, and execution of construction projects from initial proposal through to completion. This role blends sales, project management, and client relationship-building, requiring a unique set of skills that include cost estimation, vendor negotiations, and active site supervision. The position is ideal for a detail-oriented, results-driven individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and excels at multitasking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Budgeting & Financial Planning:
  • Compile, plan, and monitor project budgets, cost estimates, and other financial projections.
  • Prepare financial forecasts and assist with the development of cost-effective strategies to ensure projects stay within budget.
  • Sales & Lead Generation:
  • Identify and generate new business leads, fostering relationships with potential clients and partners.
  • Develop proposals, participate in client meetings, and prepare project bids that align with client expectations and project specifications.
  • Project Coordination:
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of construction projects, from project inception through completion.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors, engineers, architects, and other team members to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Coordinate the procurement of necessary materials, equipment, and labor to meet project needs.
  • Contract & Technical Support:
  • Explain contract terms, technical details, and project timelines to clients, subcontractors, and internal teams in a clear and concise manner.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors to ensure favorable terms and alignment with project goals.
  • Progress Monitoring & Reporting:
  • Supervise project timelines, milestones, and progress to ensure on-time and on-budget completion.
  • Provide detailed progress reports to clients and internal teams via company CRM (e.g., BuilderTrend), including adjustments to timelines, budgets, and project scopes.
  • Compliance & Safety Oversight:
  • Ensure all projects adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, including building codes, safety standards, and environmental requirements.
  • Coordinate and track safety inspections and resolve any compliance-related issues.
  • Problem Resolution & Risk Management:
  • Anticipate and resolve project challenges, such as delays, cost overruns, or unforeseen complications.
  • Assess project risks and develop contingency plans to minimize disruptions.
  • Vendor Management & Negotiations:
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Monitor vendor performance and address any issues related to contract fulfillment.
  • Community & Environmental Considerations:
  • Address any environmental or local community concerns that arise during project execution.
  • Ensure the project aligns with environmental guidelines and community expectations.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Maintain internal reporting systems to track inventory, materials, and equipment, ensuring they are available and on-site when needed.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3 years of experience in construction project coordination, sales, or a related field.
  • Education: A degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., BuilderTrend, Procore) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Sales Skills: Strong client-facing communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and budgets effectively.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of construction processes, cost estimation, and building regulations.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive in identifying issues and developing practical solutions.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, contractors, and internal teams.

Compensation:

  • Salary: Competitive, based on experience.

Job Type: Full-time
