Duties and Responsibilities:
- Contribute to Giant's high-performance team and partnerships both internally and externally
- Work cross functionally with internal departments: Merchandising, Merchandise Planning, Marketing, Pricing Strategy, Supply Chain, Finance and Operations
- Maintain relationships with Giant's Vendor Community to develop sales plans
- Curate distinctive, customer centric assortment
- Provide data driven recommendations to identify key points and opportunities that lead to meaningful and relevant conclusions
- Create meaningful and engaging omnichannel promotions to author Giant's featured assortment
- Forecast promotional activities and plans in alignment with departmental budget
- Capture and communicate insights to the appropriate stakeholders
- Use insights to develop strategies which anticipate changes in the marketplace
- Identify pricing & promotion tactics to gain significant & substantial competitive advantage at a mastery level
- Identify areas for gaining significant & substantial competitive advantage through product development initiatives at a mastery level
- Provide advanced-level recognition & adapt to and changing situations, providing creative solutions to achieve desired results
- Provide training, onboarding support, and contributive feedback as a leader amongst peers
- Take on stretch assignments outside of day to day and desk specific responsibility
- Support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
- 5-7 years of analytical experience in a retail and/or Consumer Packaged Goods role
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field
- Proficient in MSL Office Suite (Excel, PPT, Word)
- Balances workload and priorities
- Proven success with analytical interpretation of complex data sets
- Effective and concise communication and presentation skills
- Precise attention to detail
- Negotiation ability
- Exposure to with syndicated/competitive data (e.g. Nielsen, Circana/IRI)
