Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Food and Beverage Manager to oversee the development, implementation, and management of our hot and cold offers, dispensed beverages, and proprietary foodservice. This role will be instrumental in driving innovation, ensuring quality, and maintaining operational excellence in our foodservice offerings. The Food and Beverage Manager will also play a key role in forecasting, analyzing sales data, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Development: Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to create and introduce new hot and cold offerings and enhancing our proprietary foodservice offer that meets customer needs and align with the On The Fly brand.
- Menu Management: Continuously assess and optimize food and beverage menus, ensuring they reflect current trends, customer preferences, and quality standards.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all food and beverage products meet On The Fly’s high-quality standards for taste, appearance, and safety. Oversee food safety procedures and compliance.
- Operational Efficiency: Manage inventory levels for food and beverage items, ensuring products are available without overstocking. Develop and implement systems for efficient foodservice operations, including preparation, display, and customer service.
- Training: Lead and train on-site staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, adherence to food safety standards, and efficient daily operations.
- Vendor Relationships: Manage relationships with suppliers and negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and product availability to ensure the best possible service for our locations. Collaborate with vendors for vendor-funded and loyalty promotions.
- Customer Experience: Analyze customer feedback and sales data to continuously improve offerings and ensure On The Fly’s food and beverage options meet customer demands.
- Marketing and Promotions: Work with the marketing team to promote new food and beverage offerings and seasonal specials to drive sales and customer engagement.
- Sales Forecasting & Data Analysis: Utilize historical sales data and market trends to forecast demand for food and beverage products. Regularly review sales performance, identify trends, and adjust offerings or inventory to maximize sales and minimize waste.
- KPI Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales volume, profitability, product margins, and customer satisfaction. Provide regular reports to senior management and recommend actions based on data insights.
- Cost Control: Monitor and manage food and beverage cost structures, ensuring margins are maintained. Implement strategies for improving cost efficiency, reducing waste, and increasing profitability.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in foodservice management, preferably in a restaurant and/or convenience store/ gas station environment.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations, inventory management, and cost control practices.
- Proven ability to develop and launch new food products.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to forecast demand, analyze sales data, and monitor KPIs to drive business decisions.
- Experience managing and training teams.
