What are the responsibilities and job description for the Strategy Intern (Summer) position at Giant Spoon?
We are looking for a Strategy Intern to join our team for 10 weeks this summer (June 3rd to August 8th) who is able to provide strategy support with research, key insights, and developing presentations across various client partners.
Giant Spoon is a modern full-service agency that leads its big ideas with strategy. We focus on the inner dynamics of culture and our client’s target audiences in order to develop the right blueprint for each project. Our campaigns are dedicated to breaking convention and getting noticed in meaningful ways, which all begins with strategic thinking.
We are looking for individuals with a creative and entrepreneurial drive and excitement to work in a fast-paced environment while thinking quickly on their feet. This internship will not only provide insight into translating audience insights and marketing objectives into campaign strategies and various other strategic deliverables (e.g. personas, messaging frameworks, etc.), but will provide the opportunity to learn how to proficiently work on brand strategy throughout all its phases —from consumer understanding and strategic planning to idea development and execution.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong appetite for information, whether about subcultures, new technology, business and industry, emerging platforms, social content, pop culture, and everything in between. They should demonstrate a strong ability to observe and interpret information in order to uncover and clearly communicate actionable insights that create value for our clients, and are eager to proactively jump into projects
As a Giant Spoon intern, you will be welcome to join any town halls, weekly updates, lunches and happy hours during the summer. As part of the program, we will also be offering a series of workshops and Q&As with craft leads to gain insights into the day to day of neighboring departments.
This team is based in the New York office and works in a hybrid fashion with in-office work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Responsibilities
Giant Spoon is an agency that strives to build an inclusive workplace dynamically rooted in our differences. What makes you, you, is your greatest asset here. No matter your race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, protected veteran status, disabled status, genetic information, or other protected category—feel comfortable (and excited) to bring your full self and make smart, impactful work.
