Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key apprentice to our leadership team as warehouse manager
- Master the quality assurance and receiving of all vendor items such as sports uniforms, giveaways, equipment, and supplies
- Keep a close eye on inventory and budget with rigorous attention to detail
- Oversee shipments of ordered materials delivered to the warehouse/receiving site in South San Francisco and organize each shipment efficiently
- Procure specialty items from local stores such as Home Depot, Target, etc as needed.
- Hands-on packing and inventory management of bins headed to each camp site including packing of uniform bags pre-summer
- Sort and organize baseball equipment and general camp supplies, again, separating it by site
- Prepare Camp Vans by retrieving, packing, and coordinating with each team to get them the van safely.
- Collaborate on the execution of events, uniform packaging and distribution, and camp programming and giveaways
- Make supply trips to various camp sites throughout Northern CA, ensuring that site operation and inventory needs are met on an ongoing basis during the camp sessions
- Fill-in, on site at camp, at times of additional staffing needs
Qualifications:
- Be available to start this internship no later than May 15, 2025 and available to work through at least early August
- Be available to work 20 hours or more per week when camp is in session between 7:00AM-3:00PM (Monday through Friday) and some weekends.
- Have reliable transportation of your own to use throughout the summer
- This position requires significant driving to/from camp sites and our warehouse delivering supplies. The ideal candidate would have a vehicle capable of holding multiple large boxes (position will be reimbursed for fuel expenditure)
- Be able to work in outdoor conditions during summer months, and lift, carry and transport up to 50 pounds
Compensation/Benefits:
- This is a paid internship $19.00/hour and includes reimbursement for certain travel-related expenses.
- Eligible for free tickets to select San Francisco Giants home games
- Help with the execution of, and attend, in our end-of-summer camper reunion event at Oracle Park
