Description
The Admissions & Client Advocacy Specialist assists in managing the admission of new clients to Gibault’s programs and being an advocate for the clients.
Performance Standards
- Assist in handling all correspondence between placing agencies and the institution as it pertains to the admissions process.
- Assist with preparing and distributing, to the appropriate Admissions Committee members, referral material received from placing agencies.
- Process and respond to referrals for service within a reasonable time period, typically 24-72 hours.
- Coordinate and conduct pre-placement interviews for referrals as requested by the Admissions Committee.
- Schedule and coordinate the admission of clients into placement in cooperation with the Director of Client Care.
- Implement the decisions of the Admissions Committee regarding all admission matters.
- Perform travel duties relating to the pick-up of new admissions, including scheduling travel partners from the program into which the client will be admitted.
- Coordinate participation in regularly scheduled client roundtables and all associated documentation.
- Chair the Critical Incident Committee and document such in the Quality Issues databases.
- Investigate and document all client grievances.
- Investigate and document all reports of institutional abuse and/or neglect and report to CPS as necessary.
- Complete Environment of Care Rounds.
- Perform daily activities of commissary.
Qualifications
- Completed High School diploma or GED certificate. Bachelor's degree and 1 year of experience preferred.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
- Submit to and pass all required background checks.
