Job Overview
We are looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our community pharmacy team! As a key member of our small-town pharmacy, you’ll play an essential role in ensuring our patients receive the medications and care they need. You’ll work closely with our pharmacists and staff to provide personalized service, assist customers with their prescriptions, and help maintain an organized and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications accurately.
- Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy space, ensuring all medications are stored properly.
- Process insurance claims and assist customers with prescription billing questions.
- Follow all pharmacy regulations and best practices to ensure safety and compliance.
- Support pharmacy operations by handling phone calls, assisting with prescription refills, and coordinating with healthcare providers as needed.
Skills & Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) is required.
- Pharmacy Technician License with the State of Tennessee is required.
- Full-time position / 40 hours weekly / 4 days per week is required.
- Available hours 8 am - 6 pm.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in prescription processing.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a friendly and helpful attitude.
- Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment while maintaining accuracy.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software and insurance processing is a plus.
- Prior experience in a retail pharmacy setting is preferred but not required.
