Position Summary
The Product Owner - ERP is responsible for overseeing business activities surrounding the optimization and enhancement of Prospiant's Epicor ERP system to meet the company's business objectives. This role serves as the primary liaison between the business and the IT-ERP team, ensuring the system's capabilities are fully leveraged to meet the business' vision. The Product Owner is responsible for gathering and documenting requirements from all functional and business segments, communicating such requirements to the IT-ERP team, leading the user testing efforts to ensure the enhancements meet the original requirements, and leading training and adoption efforts to maximize the value of the changes.

Position Summary
The Product Owner - ERP is responsible for overseeing business activities surrounding the optimization and enhancement of Prospiant's Epicor ERP system to meet the company's business objectives. The Product Owner is responsible for gathering and documenting requirements from all functional and business segments, communicating such requirements to the IT-ERP team, leading the user testing efforts to ensure the enhancements meet the original requirements, and leading training and adoption efforts to maximize the value of the changes.
Primary Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact and internal expert within the business teams for the Epicor ERP system, driving system improvements and ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Work with all stakeholders across the business to prioritize enhancements and ensure that all projects delivered realize their value.
- Gather and document business requirements for enhancements to the ERP and work closely with business users across all functional and business segments.
- Develop a functional road map for enhancing the ERP
- Continuously evaluate and optimize workflows within Epicor to improve efficiency, accuracy, and data quality across functional areas.
- Define and determine priority of user stories, using Agile methodology working with the Product Owner(s) and the System Owner(s). Manage and prioritize the backlog.
- Manage system upgrades, enhancements, patches, and customizations; ensure appropriate testing and completion of SOX processes before implementation.
- Prepare for and align users for acceptance testing to ensure deliverables meet the requirements.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security within the system, adhering to the company's data governance policies.
- Manage release communication and change management.
- Create and manage dashboards and reports to provide insights into business operations, KPIs, and system performance.
- Coordinate with Epicor support and third-party vendors for system maintenance, troubleshooting, and enhancements.
- Communicate proactively across business and development teams, as well as internal and external stakeholders, as needed.
- Participate in steering committees for related application projects.
- Serve as the primary go-to person for ERP Processes, triaging of issues, and process remediation.
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, Industrial Operations, Management, Finance, or equivalent.
- 5 years' of experience working with ERP project teams involved in product development.
- Epicor experience required
- 5 years' of experience working as a Product Owner, Senior Business Analyst, or Process Improvement.
- Experience in enhancing and implementing ERP systems for all business functions such as manufacturing, project management, supply chain, and finance.
- Experience in agile product development with a clear understanding of agile frameworks.
- Experience in gathering and documenting business requirements for the application, working closely with business users across all functional and business segments.
- Thorough understanding of business functional issues, interdependencies, and business structural concerns. Must be excellent at in-depth analysis of complex business processes.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within deadlines and prioritize effectively, while maintaining high-quality work.
- Solution-oriented with a high sense of quality, attention to detail, accuracy, efficiency, and meeting tight deadlines.
- Experience with system implementation and enhancements in a publicly traded company environment.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills able to set priorities, and work in a team with diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Team player who is also able to work independently and handle conflicting priorities while maintaining consistent quality performance standards.
- Experience with continuous improvement initiatives and change management activities.
- Excellent in written and verbal communication. Experienced with Presentations, strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Willingness and availability to travel ~20% of work time and perform other duties as needed.
