Position Summary
The Field Construction Site Manager plays a key role in driving scalable growth by overseeing the field teams responsible for installing solar construction components. This position involves directing, training, and supervising field employees, providing guidance on installation processes, offering feedback on procedures, and monitoring both performance and construction quality. The manager ensures clear and professional communication with clients while supporting project execution to meet goals, timelines, and maintain project margins.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise field teams and temporary workers, ensuring safe and efficient work practices, scheduling, and productivity.
Train and mentor team members, fostering a positive work culture and high morale.
Oversee solar panel and foundation installations, including racking, drilling, and module setup.
Manage subcontractors and ensure adherence to installation plans and safety protocols.
Conduct project inspections, resolve field issues, and provide feedback on performance.
Maintain client relationships and manage expectations for smooth project execution.
Enforce safety compliance and high-quality workmanship standards.
Perform site walkthroughs, document project progress, and troubleshoot any issues.
Manage logistics, equipment, and material scheduling for each project phase.
Lead post-project reviews and recommend improvements for future projects.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
5 years of experience in solar or civil construction.
3 years of experience in project management.
2 years of experience in construction crew management.
OSHA 30 certification and valid driver’s license required.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in outdoor, varying weather conditions.
Physical & Work Conditions:
Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. and work in extreme temperatures.
Travel is required, with a flexible work schedule.
Work in outdoor environments, including remote locations and challenging weather conditions.
