Gibson & Associates, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and energetic individual to join our team as Project Manager for our construction company concentrating in concrete building and repaving. The Project Manager is an integral part of the Project Operations Management Team and is directly responsible for providing administrative support on roadway, bridge, and heavy highway construction projects. This position works closely with Company Managers to ensure that projects are constructed in accordance with design, budget, schedule, and contractual requirements.

Primary Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse portfolio of projects varying in size and technical complexity.
- Prepare and handle contracts, subcontracts, change orders, and other documents pertinent
to the projects. - Assist in the initial set up, ongoing maintenance, and close out of projects.
- Compile monthly pay requisitions for owner and prepare subcontractor monthly pay
estimates. - Process and track requests for information (RFIs) related to assigned projects.
- Assist with the execution and submission of monthly project schedule updates.
- Process subcontractor and owner change orders.
- Process, transmit, and track submittals for various projects.
- Obtain all pertinent drawings, warranties, materials, and paperwork from subcontractors
and suppliers for project closeout. - Assist project team members in project management, material procurement, scheduling,
close-out, and other processes by efficiently managing forms, paperwork, and providing
timely and effective communication (e-mail, telephone, etc.) to internal staff and external
customers and subcontractors. - Provide overall support to administrative and operations personnel.
- Assist Estimating Department with bid documentation and specifications for solicitation
of subcontractors and suppliers. - Perform other related administrative tasks and duties as assigned by Management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience in heavy civil construction
- Proven work experience in project management. A minimum of 10 years of progressive project experience in the construction industry with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a project management role. Experience with roads, highways, and bridges is preferred.
- Ability to communicate with others to convey information effectively.
- Ability to read and understand project specific documents including construction plans, specifications, and other pertinent project information.
- Ability to understand and efficiently carry out instructions.
- Ability to work well under pressure and within established timelines.
- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to communicate with others to convey information effectively in person, on the phone, and by correspondence.
- Ability to work with Management to resolve any issues that arise on a project.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills developed to engage and retain positive working relationships.
- Must have knowledge of field concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Must have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Must have a strong working knowledge of Primavera P6.
- Must have general knowledge of project management software tools.
- Must be detail oriented and have a disciplined work ethic with strong organizational skills.
- Must be able to work from the main office located in Balch Springs, Texas.
- Must hold a valid government issued driver’s license.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and E-verify.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
