Job Overview: Gibson County Coal LLC is seeking an experienced Coal Mine Equipment Technician to maintain and repair underground mining equipment and machinery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and hydraulic systems, as well as experience with welding and acetylene torch cutting.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirements: To be successful in this role, the candidate must have a minimum of five years' experience as an underground mechanic, with a strong understanding of Joy 14CM15 Miners, Fletcher Roof Ranger II Roof Bolters, and VFD Shuttle Cars. Additionally, the candidate must hold an Experienced Underground Miner Certification and a Federal and Indiana State Electrical Certification.
Work Schedule: This is a full-time position, requiring the candidate to work five days a week, Monday through Friday. Periodically, miners may be required to work a sixth day on Saturday. Shifts will rotate between days and seconds, and overtime may be required by the maintenance foreman or mine foreman.
