The Mining Machinery Repair Professional will be responsible for maintaining and repairing underground mining equipment and machinery. Responsibilities: In this role, you will perform emergency and preventive maintenance on all production and support equipment. You will also conduct permissibility testing and ensure that all equipment meets safety standards. Additionally, you will weld and fabricate mechanical components as needed and splice equipment cables and repair or replace damaged parts.
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of five years' experience as an underground mechanic. You should also have a strong understanding of Joy 14CM15 Miners, Fletcher Roof Ranger II Roof Bolters, and VFD Shuttle Cars. Furthermore, you must hold an Experienced Underground Miner Certification and a Federal and Indiana State Electrical Certification.
Work Environment: This is a full-time position, requiring the candidate to work five days a week, Monday through Friday. Periodically, miners may be required to work a sixth day on Saturday. Shifts will rotate between days and seconds, and overtime may be required by the maintenance foreman or mine foreman.
