Officially operational since July 2020, it boasts a storage capacity of 8.6 million barrels across 20 tanks. The terminal is strategically positioned at the mouth of the Corpus Christi Bay, providing direct pipeline connections to the Permian and Eagle Ford basins. You'll support the terminal Operations team by maintaining measurement accuracy and balancing, while providing technical expertise in planning, installation, operation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of measurement and instrumentation infrastructure.What You'll Be Doing Investigate and Resolve : Address abnormal over / shorts and line balance infractions, taking necessary actions to solve discrepancies. Maintain Standards : Ensure facilities operate within acceptable measurement tolerances as defined by contractual, business, and API requirements. Audit and Inspect : Evaluate and inspect measurement systems from external parties for compliance with guidelines, regulations, and performance standards. Calibrate and Improve : Keep Gibson meters and related equipment traceable, calibrated, maintained, and improved to meet regulatory, industry, and company standards. Operate and Maintain : Oversee the operation and maintenance of associated proving equipment. Advise and Train : Provide guidance on new measurement products and deliver training for field personnel. Report and Collaborate : Report on measurement performance to internal stakeholders and work with field measurement technologists and administration staff to resolve metering issues and imbalances. Ensure Compliance : Complete necessary checks and documentation as per contractual agreements and regulatory bodies. Customer Relations : Maintain strong internal and external customer relations. Support Projects : Assist in measurement-related capital and growth projects. Troubleshoot : Address issues related to instrumentation and controls, valves, meters, and QC equipment. Quality Management : Utilize knowledge of measurement systems to support and direct product quality management. Deploy Safely : Ensure new or modified systems are deployed safely and in compliance with company management of change processes. Test and Support : Participate in System Integration and Functional Testing, providing C&SU support. Design and Assist : Help design measurement systems for new facilities. Commit to EH&S : Demonstrate a proactive approach to Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) through participation in all applicable programs, ensuring safe operation and compliance with all Company EH&S policies and procedures. Additional Duties : Perform other duties as assigned.What You'll Bring Education : Post-secondary education in a technology field (chemical / instrumentation / electrical) or an engineering degree. Relevant experience will also be considered. Experience : Minimum of 7 years in measurement-related roles with a thorough understanding of industry practices. Technical Skills : Proficient in using PCs and business software, including Excel, Word, Maximo, Control Systems, FlowCal, or equivalent measurement software. Mechanical Ability : Strong mechanical skills. Flow Computers : Expertise in the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and integration of flow computers with business systems. Custody Transfer : In-depth knowledge of custody transfer applications, process requirements, and calibration procedures. Data Analysis : Ability to effectively analyze data to troubleshoot measurement equipment and maintain accuracy. Project Management : Capable of planning, scheduling, developing, coordinating, and tracking measurement-related projects and maintenance activities. Independence and Teamwork : Self-motivated team player who can work independently and perform well under pressure. Urgency Response : Ability to respond effectively in urgent situations and manage throughput risks. Regulatory Knowledge : Working knowledge of related measurement regulations and standards, including API, ASTM, GPA, Texas Railroad Commission, and EPA.Working Conditions This job is subject to background checks as outlined in Gibson Energy's Background Checks policy.
