Kitchen Dishwasher Steward

Gibson Island Club in Anne Arundel County seeks multiple Kitchen Dishwasher-Stewards to join our Culinary Department in support of its daily operation. Full-time (benefits offered) , part-time, and seasonal positions are available. The Kitchen Dishwasher-Steward maintains cleanliness and sanitary conditions in the kitchen areas while supporting line cooks with food preparation.,

Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, dishes, utensils, and work areas

- Dispose of trash and recycling; break-down boxes

- Support kitchen staff in maintaining inventory and stocking supplies

- Assist cooks in keeping workstations clean and food-prep ready

- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment

- Assist in food preparation tasks as needed

Requirements:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred; will train entry level (minimum age 16 with drivers license)
- Knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards, preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Willingness to learn and take direction from kitchen supervisors
- Flexibility to work in various areas of the kitchen or dining room as needed
- Team player with excellent communication skills
