We are a growing firm with Pennsylvania offices in Latrobe, Harrisburg (Camp Hill), Indiana, Pittsburgh (Wexford), Fayette (Lemont Furnace), and Washington (Eighty-Four).
The Role
We have an opening for a Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Manager, this is a permanent full-time position in our Latrobe Office. Ideal candidates for this position must be able to lead and manage complex SUE projects with a focus on quality, compliance, and technical excellence. In this role, you will oversee advanced utility investigations, provide leadership to engineers and technicians, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality SUE plans, reports, and recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex SUE projects, including advanced utility investigations and conflict resolution
- Oversee utility mapping, design, and compliance with industry standards, codes, and project requirements
- Develop detailed utility plans and coordinate approvals for permitting and fieldwork
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and quality reviews for engineers and technicians
- Interpret sketches, redlines, and field data to produce and edit SUE plans and drawings
- Prepare and review technical reports, utility maps, as-built records, and project documentation
- Liaison with Project Managers, engineers, and construction inspectors
Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of subsurface utility engineering principles, utility conflict analysis, and design standards
- In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards for SUE projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, or other design software related to SUE projects
