Position Overview:
We are seeking a Client Services Associate to join our team in Baltimore. The ideal candidate will work directly with a lead advisor to service current clients and prospect for new clients. The candidate should have an interest in sales and business development and be able to provide knowledgeable, objective financial guidance to clients.
The role of Client Services Associate at Gideon Strategic Partners involves several key responsibilities. The candidate will analyze financial information obtained from clients to determine strategies, products, and services to help clients meet their financial objectives. They will provide information/education to clients about the purpose and details of financial products, services, and strategies. Additionally, the candidate will build and maintain a client base, keep client plans up to date, acquire new clients on an ongoing basis, and contact clients periodically to determine if there have been changes in their financial status. Overall, the Client Services Associate will play a vital role in providing knowledgeable, objective financial guidance and customized strategies to consumer segments that demand high-quality service individuals.
Responsibilities:
- Assist a lead advisor in servicing current clients and prospecting for new clients.
- Analyze financial information obtained from clients to determine strategies, products, and services to help clients meet their financial objectives.
- Provide information/education to clients about the purpose and details of financial products, services, and strategies.
- Build and maintain a client base, keep client plans up-to-date, and acquire new clients on an ongoing basis.
- Contact clients periodically to determine if there have been changes in their financial status.
- Provide knowledgeable, objective financial guidance and customized strategies to consumer segments that demand high-quality service individuals.
- Maintain accurate client records in our database.
- Participate in client meetings and other company events as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field
- 1-2 years of experience in financial services or related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Interest in sales and business development
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
Preferred Qualifications:
- FINRA Series 7 and/or 63 licenses
- Knowledge of financial planning and investment management
- Experience with custodians such as Charles Schwab, Fidelity, or Pershing
