Material Handler

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient movement of materials within the warehouse, ensuring that all products are handled safely and accurately. The ideal candidate will have experience with heavy lifting and operating various warehouse equipment, contributing to a smooth shipping and receiving process.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials from trucks and containers using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks.
• Prepare pallets for shipping, ensuring that all items are securely packaged and pallets are in good shape, disposing of any broken or unusable pallets.
• Assist in shipping and receiving tasks, verifying the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and address any operational challenges.
• Safe and efficient use of forklifts and load bars to maintain flow of product.

• Qualifications
• Proven experience in a warehouse setting, preferably as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including forklifts and pallet jacks is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• A proactive attitude towards safety practices in the workplace.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
