Giffels Webster has an exciting opportunity for a Civil Engineer to join our Detroit Headquarters, working on several high-profile urban land development projects that are contributing to the revitalization of the City of Detroit.
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work independently on various engineering projects and assist a wide variety of client types from architects, developers, property owners and real estate professionals. You will work in a team environment led by a Project Manager/Senior Project Manager on a variety of tasks.

- Pavement design
- Soil erosion and sediment control
- Utility (storm, sanitary and water) design
- Stormwater management and green infrastructure design
- Traffic plans
- Details
- Record drawings and specifications
- Prepare permit applications and cost estimates
- Attend meetings
- Conduct field visits
- Perform construction administration tasks

Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- You have a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited university or equivalent amount of applicable experience.
- At least 1-2 years of Civil Engineering experience
- Must have experience in AutoCAD software
- Experience in Civil3D
- Experience with storm, sanitary and water design
- Experience in Bluebeam
- Exposure to Municipal and/or Private Development projects
