What are the responsibilities and job description for the Occupational Therapist position at Gifford Medical Center?
Gifford is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist that can work in our Rehabilitation Department. The Occupational Therapist will need to be able to work independently as well as be part of a larger hospital-based team. The role of this position will primarily be in our acute care/swing bed setting but will also include outpatient and extended care nursing home coverage. Experience in workplace and workstation ergonomics is a plus. This position will select evaluation methods appropriate to the diagnosis, age group and patients physical and emotional status and formulates appropriate treatment plans.
Your teammates include experienced and dedicated PTs, OTs, and a ST with many specialized areas of interest. We encourage and will support those who wish to pursue a current discipline of interest or develop specific skills in conjunction with the needs of the department.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, decision making abilities and attention to detail. Strong time management skills along with being an active team member, and hold a strong orientation toward patient-centered treatment are essential.
Requirements:
- Current OT license with the state of VT
