Job Description:
This position requires a Medical Surgical Nurse with 1 year of experience. The nurse will work in a unit with 25 beds, adhering to a 1:4-5 nurse-to-patient ratio.
Certification and Training:
- BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association are required.
- A comprehensive training program is provided for new hires, including 3-5 shifts of orientation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing patient care to Medical and Surgical patients
- Utilizing computerized charting and Medication administration pyxis machine for medication pull
- Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with the healthcare team
Schedule and Availability:
- The schedule includes 12 and 8 hour shifts, with a requirement to work every other weekend.
- The nurse may be floated to other units or departments as needed.
Requirements:
- 1 year of Medical Surgical experience
- BLS - AHA certification
- ACLS - AHA certification
- Ability to interpret telemetry
- Willingness to work every other weekend
