PT Sales Associate/ Cashier
We have openings for part-time Seasonal Sales Associate position in our Wexford location. This position is 5-20 hours per week depending on availability and business needs, with more hours being required over the holiday season and busier times.
Gifted Hands Gift Shop is a locally-owned business specializing in artisan-made gifts for all occasions, featuring approximately local and regional artisans, as well as artisans from all over the US. We supplement our merchandise with national brands, too.
Title- Sales Associate ~ Must be able to work evening and weekend hours, however, we do rotate scheduling. Our Wexford location closes at 7 pm most nights. This is an excellent part-time job to bring in a little extra for holiday gift giving.
Qualifications:
~Customer service experience is preferred but not required.
~Maintain a high degree of personal integrity and lead by example.
~Sincere desire to sell gifts, home decor, housewares, jewelry, and apparel.
~Excellent customer service skills and ability to solve customer problems.
~Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
~Capability to maintain a "team-oriented" outlook.
~Proactive and creative problem solving ability.
~Proficient computer skills (incl. Google Docs/Sheets, etc.).
~Must be able to work flexible hours.
~Ability to adhere to visual guidelines determined by the company's Visual Manager and maintain the boutique's appearance using photos and other guides.
~Must have a positive attitude, as we work hard to maintain a positive work environment and do not tolerate negativity or gossip.
~Protect the physical assets of the store by conducting routine inventory checks and an annual physical inventory.
~Evening, weekend and holiday work required. (However, scheduling is extremely flexible and you can discuss with the store manager a schedule that works best for you!) Black Friday and the week prior to Christmas are required for our seasonal positions. This position is seasonal, which means that it will begin and end with the increase/decrease of seasonal traffic into the stores. It usually begins in November and ends after Christmas and/or New Years. If a regular position is available at the end of holiday season, we may be able to extend a regular position to you, however, it is not a guarantee.
