Special Education Teacher Positions:

2024 - 2025 school year

• On-site only
• Full time | Monday-Friday | 37.5 hours
• Mid-March - 5.22.2025
• $38.00-$40.00 per hour
• 5th grade classroom
• Kindergarten-8th grade ADE certification required
• Level One IVP Fingerprint card required
• Great school districts with supportive staff!
• One year minimum of experience as a general education teacher
• Travel incentives do apply for those who qualify

Responsibilities of a General Education Teacher:

• Identifies, selects, and/or modifies curriculum, assessment, and instructional resources as necessary to meet the needs of students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special challenges and talents.
• Differentiates materials and instructional strategies to meet the specific needs of individual students.
• Plans and teaches a program of study consistent with the principles of child growth and development, state standards, and the District curriculum scope and sequence.
• Follows and implements students’ IEP and 504 plans to fidelity.
• Consults with specialists regarding classroom adaptations, instructional modifications, adaptive equipment, behavior modification plans, and other similar instructional interventions to meet the needs of students.
• Understands the unique learning needs of all students.
• Aligns sequence of learning activities with instructional goals.
• Demonstrates planned learning targets in order for the student to meet high level cognitive activity.
• Differentiates lesson plans to meet the unique needs of all learners.
• Demonstrates understanding of the uses of a range of formative and summative assessment techniques by implementing them in the classroom and providing timely feedback.
• Provides students with approved testing accommodations.
