Responsibilities
Counselors provide a range of psychological assessment, diagnostic, therapeutic, and/or case management services for individuals, couples, groups, and/or families. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide counseling and prepare treatment plans for clients and families, providing therapeutic crisis intervention and emergency services as needed
- Collect patient data through interview, case history, psychological tests, and observational techniques
- Identify causes of problems to determine proper therapeutic approach
