Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Staff Management:
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
- Lead by example, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Oversee staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and professional development.
- Ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance:
- Develop, implement, and monitor quality assurance programs to ensure adherence to regulatory standards (e.g., state and federal regulations, Joint Commission standards).
- Conduct regular audits of patient care, documentation, and compliance processes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement improvement plans based on QA findings.
- Monitor incident reports, identify trends, and implement preventive measures.
- Lead staff education initiatives related to quality improvement and regulatory compliance.
- Patient Care Coordination:
- Oversee the planning and coordination of patient care to ensure the delivery of high-quality, compassionate care.
- Work closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to create individualized care plans.
- Ensure that patient care is consistent with clinical standards and best practices.
- Address patient and family concerns promptly and professionally.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks to patient safety and the facility and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Lead efforts to investigate and resolve any quality-of-care concerns.
- Data Collection & Reporting:
- Collect and analyze data related to quality improvement and patient outcomes.
- Prepare reports for leadership and regulatory bodies.
- Stay current with industry trends and regulations and recommend improvements accordingly.
- Education:
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Washington.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration is a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing facility settings is highly preferred.
- Previous experience in quality assurance or regulatory compliance is a strong plus.
