What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Worker position at Gigantic Bag LLC - JD Warehouse?
We are looking for an energetic warehouse worker to receive and dispatch merchandise to and from our warehouse. The warehouse worker will load and unload outgoing and incoming delivery vehicles. You will select products from the warehouse, load and secure goods to pallets, move inventory to the delivery area, and load merchandise. You will unload stock from delivery vehicles, and transport to and store in designated warehouse positions. You will keep your work environment clean and tidy at all times, and comply with all relevant safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
To ensure success you need the ability to follow instructions and operate in an orderly manner. Preferred applicants are hard-working, focused and have outstanding problem-solving skills.
Warehouse Worker Responsibilities:
1. Ensuring cleanliness, tidiness and safety of the work environment and proper wear of PPE.
2. Loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
3. Accepting delivery of inventory.
4. Counting and confirming inventory.
5. Inspecting inventory for damage and faults.
6. Communicating errors to relevant parties.
7. Marking and labeling stock.
8. Storing inventory in an accessible manner.
9. Loading and wrapping stock on pallets.
10. Packaging in-bound materials into packaging containers and documenting daily production.
11. Building loads with forklift and electronic pallet jack.
12. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Warehouse Worker Requirements:
1. 18 years of age or older.
2. Work experience as general laborer, preferably in a warehouse or similar environment.
3. Ability to operate forklift proficiently. Must provide license / certification document(s).
4. Strong people skills.
5. Good moral character.
6. Physically strong, agile and dexterous, and undeterred by heights and adverse climatic conditions.
7. Positive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance.
8. Available to work extended hours as required.
