What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Specialist position at GigaParts?
Our company is a traditional and e-commerce retailer, headquartered in Huntsville, Alabama. Our core operations depend on our procurement team’s performance, and the Data Specialist’s role is critical to the team’s success.
To ensure that the transition from product acquisition to sales is effectively and efficiently achieved, this entry-level Procurement role will learn to perform the important background work that prepares the products and the products’ information for presentation on our website and on store’s shelves. Therefore, to assist and encourage our customers’ buying decisions, the Data Specialist will:
· Manage Product Profiles through the use of available resources (e.g., supplier representatives, supplier portals and existing databases) to create compelling, complete and detailed product descriptions that inform customers and motivate sales, including product reviews.
· Learn and follow best practices to collect and present product attributes in a clear and concise manner with consistent formatting.
· Support the development and phases needed to manage launching promotions.
· Learn and develop strong skills at item creation through support from the E-Comm Manager and partnership with the Procurement Department
· Work with the E-Commerce Manager in learning, maintaining and developing a close relationship with analytics for e-comm division of the business
· Contributing to the success of the company by adapting to changes, continually striving for personal growth, maintaining an environment of professionalism and teamwork, and allowing the company to profit from your talents, knowledge, and experience, and doing whatever is asked of you with a positive attitude
· Helping us deliver industry-leading customer service to our customers, with an eye toward cost, through ingenuity, thoughtfulness, and respect
· Continually learning about all aspects of the hobbyist categories and their related products and services
· Learning how our company works and suggest ways to improve it

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
